Babies,  Newborns

Daniel | Glencoe newborn baby photographer

There are exceptions to every rule, even when it comes to newborn photography.  Even though it is ideal for a newborn baby to be younger than 2 weeks old for your typical newborn in baskets photos, sometimes it’s possible to get some of those “difficult” posed shots with a little older babies too.  Meet Daniel, my dear friend’s adorable baby boy whom I waited to photograph for 5 week!  Yes, he is a whopping 5 weeks old in these photos and though I warned my friend that we might not get any of the typical newborn shots due to Daniel being older and less sleepy/bigger, they still wanted to try.  Given that he was a great little sleeper, we miraculously were able to capture some coveted blanket and basket shots, which was my goal for the session.  However, every baby is different, and I strongly urge all my clients to not wait, and book their newborn session while they are still pregnant to endure a spot in within a recommended 2 week time frame of baby’s birth.  On another note, if you are not crazy about these posed blanket and basket photos, we can also do a more relaxed lifestyle newborn session at the comfort of your own home where baby’s age doesn’t play such an important role.  Lifestyle sessions can be done at any age.  🙂

Isn’t he just perfect? ♥
