Derek & Lauren | Wedding at The Morton Arboretum

This was an absolutely amazing outdoor wedding, with hand made details left and right! My kind of wedding. Starting from the biggest wow of the day – the bride’s gorgeous dress. Guess what? She made it herself! Yep. She did. Not many people can say that they have designed and sewn their own wedding gown, but this girls sure can! Then, the theme of “sewing” continues with stitched invitations, programs, and place cards. Also, my favorite part, the bride’s grandmother’s old Singer sewing machine table that the couple used for ceremony programs, was just a beautiful way tie into the theme.

It was a pleasure second shooting this wedding with the talented Maggie from Maggie Fortson Photography.
