In the Studio,  Portraits

My Cousin Vinny | Chicago Portrait Photographer

Meet Vinny, my in-laws’ pooch.  He is a beautiful, blue Weimaraner.  A child at heart, he is playful, loving, and super gentle.  Not sure if all large dogs have a sort of identity crisis, but Vinny sometimes thinks that he is tiny (kind of like my Chihuahuas), and so he tries to jump up on the couch and cuddle on my lap.   Funny and all, but not when it’s your own lap and a 90lb doggie is trying to get comfortable.  But I still love him, even after he literally wiggled himself onto an armchair where I was sitting, and inadvertently ended up pushing me completely off while taking the WHOLE seat.  I think my father in law got that moment on video… priceless!

For these portraits, my studio was still set up from a client session and Vinny was following me around as I was trying to clean up (as he typically does).  So, I used this opportunity to get a few images of him.  As you can see, Vinny was a very good model, and even smiled for me at some of the shots.  🙂  Now I just have to try get my two Chihuahuas to pose for me like Vinny did –  for this task I will surely need an assistant, or two!
