As exhausting as it is chasing after 2 toddler boys on order to catch them in a picture worthy moment, in the end, after sweat and some tears, it’s all worth it. 🙂
I was so happy to play a small part in Natasha and Carolyn’s journey to motherhood. They were (already had the baby as I write this post!) expecting their first child and it was such an honor to photograph this special time in their lives!
I am so grateful that my job allows me to share in a family’s happiest and most memorable times in their lives. I am constantly surrounded by so much joy and love and that is truly a gift!
Following her story from the very beginning, it was so humbling to finally meet this incredible little girl, who was aptly nicknamed Baby Warrior Princess by her loved ones. Baby Nayiri, is a sweet, curious and a happy baby girl who was born with a very rare heart defect where one of her four heart chambers was not developed and both of the great arteries connect to the right ventricle. By the time Nayiri was 6 months old, she has already undergone 3 open heart surgeries! She was such a trooper and it was such a pleasure to spend some time with her in celebration of her first birthday! #TeamNayiri
Baby girl, we hope that you will keep growing strong and healthy and make your parents and grandparents proud with new milestones each and every day.

There is never a dull moment with these three little monkeys. As you could tell from the pictures we had a ton of fun during our photo shoot. I actually really love photographing siblings because they are usually each other’s best friends and have the best chemistry, they help each other loosen up and get their sillies out which translates for amazingly genuine smiles.
A few months ago I got to photograph baby Ryan for his first birthday milestone. His parents brought a very special traditional dress that he wore, and looked very handsome in it. Though he was not too keen on wearing the hat that came with the outfit. He was one serious little dude. I was so surprised when Ryan had no response to my silly songs and noises I usually make to make little ones smile (maybe I’m not so funny after all, hmmm). The only thing that got him a little more excited (and to stay still for a bit) was my phone which I used to play music. But the difficult part with that was trying to take the phone away in order to get some pictures without the device in his hands. He sure made us all work during the session! In the end we got some very cute shots. Mission accomplished. 😉
